With Halloween just two days away, raise your hand if you're still looking for a costume?
Not to worry - putting together a fun Halloween look is easy as 1-2-3. Just mix and match what you have in your closet with a few, neat accessories and voila... Halloween mayhem, here we come!
This year, my main squeeze and I had the hardest time picking out what we wanted to be for Halloween. I think we went over at least two dozen ideas -- and yes, we wanted our costumes to coordinate. It wasn't until a few days ago, we finally settled on a Magician and the Rabbit from the Hat, and I'm beyond excited to wear our costumes out this Friday night!
See below for an easy how-to for putting these last minute Halloween costume looks together!
DIY Magician and Rabbit from the Hat Halloween Costumes
What You'll Need:
>> A bowtie
>> A magic wand
>> White dress shirt and black slacks
>> Black Top Hat
What You'll Need:
>> Little Black Dress
>> Bunny Ears
>> Black Pumps
>> Statement Necklace
For both of our Halloween costumes, we already had the main big pieces - i.e., my main squeeze dug through his closet to find a pair of black slacks and the dress shirt; and of course, I already have multiple LBDs and statement necklaces to choose from. Trying looking for pieces you already have in your closet or borrow from a friend! If you're in the spending mood, buy something that you'll actually want to wear again like this Asymmetrical Zip Detail Body-Con Dress.
When looking for the more costume-y accessories, we stopped by our local Value Village to pick up the black top hat, white bow tie and bunny ears. I'm really happy with how these costumes turned out, and even more thrilled that we didn't spend a ton of money on items we probably wouldn't wear again for awhile.
