hello fall. hello home.

Wow, time has just flown by. How did it already become mid-September? This past summer has been a whirlwind with our engagement (#HappilyEverAxten), wedding planning and then of course, the house hunt -- so as you can imagine, we've been up to ears with to-do lists and a bit overwhelmed. Oh and work doesn't slow down when big life moments pop up. It actually gets crazier... strange, right?

Regardless - amidst the craziness, my main squeeze and I are blessed and thrilled that everything is coming together.

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE and have been working hard on transforming our cute little bungalow of a house into our happy home. Follow #TheAxtenBungalow on Instagram for a few snippets of the makeover. Painting countless walls, ripping up carpet, bargain shopping for furniture and endless Pottery Barn catalogs later -- it's really starting to look a lot like home.

Here is a sneak peek. Excited to share a before and after photo shoot when it's all done!

Any home decorating tips? Send them my way please!

Yes... I'm sorry I've been MIA. I guess that's what happens when work is a whirlwind of chaos and you actually try to make time for normal/cool fun things... like visiting the Pumpkin Patch, birthday dinners and spending quality time with friends.

I know that I owe a home tour video... and believe me, that's still a work in progress. Need to get a few picture frames up first, and then I promise I'll let you see my lovely home.

Appreciate your patience and love as I get some of this crazy stuff called "life" sorted out. :)

For now, enjoy this photo of the yummy, pumpkin cider doughnut I munched on last weekend!

the dog days are over.

Wow... I can't believe it's already September... Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday, Seattle was getting her first rays of sunshine, and now the dog days are over. It's getting darker earlier, and the mornings have gotten a bit more chilly. Time for hot cups of tea and cuddle seshes in warm blankets, please.

This past weekend, my main squeeze and I enjoyed our last few days of sweet summer at Bumbershoot, listening to Matt + Kim and sipping on lemonade under the twinkle lights -- savoring our last few moments of summer winds until next year. It's a little sad that we're soon to retire our sundresses and trade our sandals for boots... but in a way, it's quite refreshing. A crisp fall to start the new school year for my friends who are back in college - a new fiscal year for those of my friends in the agency/finance world who are beginning their planning for clients - or just for us every day folk, it's a new season for a cozy scarf, umbrella weather and puddle jumping in wellies

Are you excited for fall?
How are you spending your last few days of summer?
xoxo
