Hi, I'm Alana from The Good Girl Gone Blog and I'm delighted to be guest posting for Amanda. She's such a  sweetheart- I'm so glad we became friends. Thanks, Twitter :)

I've been wanting to do a fun DIY with conversation hearts for a while now, and this one is as simple as it is adorable. Most of the supplies can be purchased at the dollar store or your local craft store. Please ignore the Mod Podge in the photo above- I used it in a first (somewhat failed) attempt and then opted to replace it with clear nail polish.

Supplies:
- Large bag of Sweethearts candies
- An inexpensive frame
- Hot Glue Gun
- Bowls for separating candies by color
- Clear nail polish

Prep:
1. Cover your workspace with newspaper (this project gets a little sticky) and dump your candy in a large bow.
2. Separate the candy by color to make the whole process a little easier.
3. Pop the glass and backing out of the frame and set aside for later.

Project:
1. Lay out the hearts on your frame to determine how many you'll need.
2. Begin gluing down hearts with a dot of hot glue. I recommend working your way from the frames corners to the inside to ensure they're glued down evenly.
3. Once you've finished gluing down the hearts, paint on a coat of clear nail polish to seal.
4. Let dry. Add an additional coat of nail polish if desired.
5. Replace the glass and add a photo or handwritten note.
