Tuesday, December 11, 2012

Most recently, Pantone (client) revealed its 2013 color of the year: emerald... and boy, I'm in love. That gorgeous, stunning and clear-cut hue is absolutely classic. From jewels and glittered nails to comfy, cozy sweaters, I can't wait to spruce up my closet with this b-e-autiful color.

emerald  - absolutely smitten.

Below are some of my picks for incorporating emerald into an everyday outfit:

(clockwise from top right)

toggle coat in wool-cashmere | j.crew | $350
Designed with luxe wool and cashmere, this coat can make your winter outfit absolutely timeless. Traditional rope-fastened wooden toggles and a cozy hood - it practically screams, "wear me."

tippi sweater  | j.crew | $79.50
Merino wool in 14-gauge knit and 3/4 length sleeves - perfect for layering over a button up or under a puffer vest. Cozy, soft and oh-so charming.

thames | butterLondon | $14
Metallic blue-green with a slight hint of gold, this emerald and turquoise color brings forth a strong jewel tone. absolutely in love

british racing green | butterLondon | $14
Classic. This dark hunter green is what the royals would call sassy but oh so classy.

jack the lad | butterLondon | $14
There's nothing better than a little glitter to accompany an opaque, mossy green. My beauty tip: swipe a coat over a dark color like british racing green for an instant glam night look.

original wellies | hunter | $135
Puddle-jump in style with these beautiful wellies. Durable and always in fashion, I'm obsessed with these. Maybe I'll add this color to my rainboot collection.

cocktail party crystal stud earrings | michael kors | $50
Brilliant facets of sparkly goodness - keep calm and bling on with these shiny gems.

How will you add emerald to your wardrobe?
